Craft Contacts
CABC newsletter, four issues per year, consists of craft-related articles, profiles, craft show listings, exhibitions, funding sources, education and various opportunities. Please read the rate sheet (PDF format) for advertising opportunities.

Craft Shows 2007
An annual publication listing major trade shows and craft fairs throughout BC, Canada and the US. To order Craft Shows 2007 click here or call 604-687-6511. CABC is always looking for new craft shows in British Columbia and throughout Canada to list in future issues of the guide. To list your craft show in a future issue click here. RESOURCE CENTRE

The Resource Centre consists of craft related information including magazines, publications, and reports as well as a video lending library and an artist’s portfolio registry. The Resource Centre is open to the membership and general public from Mon. - Fri., 10:30 am - 5:30 pm. It is located on the second floor of the CABC.

Video Lending Library

Note: videos are lent within British Columbia only. The CABC video lending library offers a selection of craft related videos for loan. These videos are a resource for craftspeople, artists, educators, curators, architects, designers and the general public. There are over 50 titles in the library featuring profiles of artists and their work.

Conditions of Loan:

  • The loan period is one week. Videos must be postmarked by the due date shown on the invoice or an overdue fee of $6 per video, per week for members and $8 for non-members will be charged. Overdue charges shall commence the day following the due date.
  • Copyright laws control the use of these videos which are intended for educational purposes and may not be re-broadcast, copied, shown for profit or used for continuous viewing.
  • Videos are available on a first-come basis. Handling fees are payable at the time of registration. Each video is valued at $50 and a credit card number and expiry date is required to cover loss of damage of each video borrowed.
  • No more than three videos may be borrowed by any individual at one time.

Fees for Video Rental:

  • Free for CABC members
  • $8 for non-members
  • All of the previously stated Conditions of Loan including overdue charges apply.

Please make cheque or money order payable to the Crafts Association of BC (CABC). We also accept Visa, MasterCard and American Express.

BUSINESS BENEFITS

Preferred credit and debit merchant discount rates with Chase Paymentech
The CABC has a special agreement with Chase Paymentech for reduced commission rates for credit and debit merchant transactions. You must be a current CABC member to receive these rates, and merchants are subject to standard rates if your membership is not renewed.
