Process Information

Plant material (usually leaves) is collected, with permission and often from sites to be cleared for development, and pressed and dried. Her present selection of pressed flora includes B.C. native Vine Maple leaves, B.C. coastal native ferns, and magnolia and ginkgo leaves. Botanicals are designed using only one type of leaf or mixed leaf types (e.g., fern fronds with maple leaves; different seasonal stages of one leaf type). The plant materials are glued to paper and then the botanical is scanned and printed.

The botanical prints are available in the following sizes: 4" x 5", 5" x 7", 4" x 10", 8" x 10" (with or without matte), 11" x 14 " (with matte and four windows, or without matte), and 7" x 36" (with matte and five windows). Background colour can be white or cream. The frames are available in either heritage-look country style new pine frames or in modern frames (black, winter green, cranberry, honey brown, or white).

A catalogue of prints is available. Custom orders of original plant botanicals or botanical prints are also welcome.
